Denver is more than doubling its light rail system this weekend.
Nineteen new miles of light rail open tomorrow morning.
Free rides have been offered yesterday and today on the new segment of the line from Lincoln to Broadway.
In a way it is back to the future for a city that once had 300 miles of trolleys and urban trains before buses and autos replaced them.
One line goes south near Broadway to Mineral and the new line goes along Interstate 25 to Lincoln.
The next line will be built to the west.
