Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, we all used these to keep up with friends, but police have another use for them. Solving crimes.
"They're putting pictures of themselves holding guns, talking about the crimes or at least talking in a round about way, about what they've done," says Sgt. Bill Dehart with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
One crook from Virginia posted about the robbery he did on Myspace. According to prosecutors, the man wrote, "On tha run for robbin a bank Love all of yall," before he was arrested.
Police say, that when investigating a crime, one of the first places they go is Myspace or Facebook. "There's a lot of information out there, but if we aren't aware of what's going on we're going to miss a lot of information," says Sgt. Derhart.
