A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
Three nuns who were jailed for breaking into a Colorado missile silo say they have a plan to make amends with the Air Force.
They've refused to pay about three-thousand dollars in restitution to the Air Force because of their pacifist beliefs.
Now they say they'll collect three-thousand dollars worth of canned goods and donate it to needy Air Force families.
They plan to start the food drive today outside the U.S. Attorney's office in Denver.
Last month, a federal judge rejected their proposal to perform community service rather than pay restitution.
