A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Crew are mopping up what is the second fire this week that was started in a chimney.
The fire at 6356 Ashcroft Drive, near Academy and Dublin, quickly moved into the walls, but crews were able to knock it down.
No one was hurt.
