U.S. Highway 285 is back open tonight.
Earlier this evening blowing snow forced the closure of the highway between Fairplay and Kenosha Pass.
The winter storm that moved into the state today also shut down Interstate 70 between Georgetown and Vail for about eight hours today.
Some snow is still falling on Vail Pass, where chain laws are in effect.
Vail ski resort, which is set to open Friday, says it's gotten 6 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours.
Arapahoe Basin got 10 inches and Loveland resort, 11 inches.
