Crooks stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and it's all caught on tape. Police said at least 9 businesses along South Academy have been burglarized in the last 2 weeks.

When you look at the surveillance video, a thief goes into the Rent-A-Center around 3:45am to steal a computer. The man returns 19 hours later, but this time, he made off with a plasma t.v. and is in and out in a flash.

"The second incident, he broke in one hour after my assistant manager left the store. Are you watching me? Are you watching my employees?” Gayle Nichols, manager of the store told 11 News. She said she's worried about how brazen the burglar is, making off with thousands of dollars in merchandise. "The first two times I was angry. You feel pretty violated."

Nichols said the crooks have been to her store 5 times. One of those times, the thief couldn't get in. But in the video, it appears there may be two crooks involved. They try to break in the side door, but they eventually give up and walk away. "When does it stop?" Nichols asked.

Nichols said she's fed up and wants the suspects behind bars. Police said they need to be caught, so they stop terrorizing the businesses along South Academy.

Rent-A-Center is now taking more security measures. The two suspects could face felony theft charges.

If you recognize either of the men, contact Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP in Colorado Springs. Your anonymous tip could earn you a cash reward.
