Defense Attorneys for basketball star Kobe Bryant have asked an Eagle County judge to close his October 9th hearing.
The move comes as Bryant's lawyers also issued more subpoenas in the L.A. Laker's sexual-assault case.
Prosecutors say they received notice that the subpoenas were addressed to undisclosed people at the Vail police department, the
Eagle County sheriff's office, the Best Western Eagle Lodge and the
Resource Center of Eagle County which operates a crisis hotline. Vail spokeswoman Suzanne Silverthorn says one of the subpoenas
seeks police records.
The 25 year old Bryant is charged with sexually assaulting a 19 year old woman in June at the Cordillera Lodge & Spa in Edwards, near Vail.
