Authorities have opened a sprawling homicide investigation to determine whether a drifter jailed involved in a fatal weekend shooting has killed others across Colorado.
The investigation was sparked after 30 year old Richard White told Denver Police about a home in the area. When police searched around the home, they found two bodies buried in the yard. White used to live in the home.
Authorities in Otero and Costilla counties also are investigating possible murders in those counties. So far, no more bodies have been found, but Denver Police say while in custody, White admitted to killing six people.
Richard White is being held after being arrested Wednesday in connection with the deadly weekend shooting of 27 year old Jason Reichardt. Authorities say he has a criminal record and a history of violent behavior.
