Senator John McCain confirms he is considering a presidential run in 2008.
The Arizona Republican told NBC's "Meet the Press" that he could launch an exploratory committee as early as this week, allowing him to raise campaign money. But the senator adds that he won't reach a definite decision until he sits down with his family.
McCain unsuccessfully ran for his party's nomination in 2000.
Another Republican who's announced he's running is California Congressman Duncan Hunter.
Among the Democrats, Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack announced his candidacy last week. And Delaware Senator Joe Biden today reaffirmed his intention to seek the Democratic nomination. But he tells ABC he probably won't establish an exploratory committee before early next year.
