State health officials have confirmed two more deaths in Colorado due to West Nile virus and its complications.
Officials today say that brings the state's total to 24.
They say the latest added to the list of victims were an 83-year-old Englewood woman who died yesterday and an 81-year-old Fort Collins man who died several days earlier. Officials say both had encephalitis.
This was the first death from West Nile reported in Arapahoe County and the fourth in Larimer County.
Colorado has reported nearly 1,350 human cases of West Nile this year, more than any other state.
