A survey showing that nearly 19 percent of the female cadets at the Air Force Academy said they had been sexually assaulted is just one part of a major report by the Department of Defense.

That's according to Colorado Senator Wayne Allard. He met Wednesday with the Defense Department's inspector general, who is preparing the report.

The inspector general's investigation is among a handful looking into a sex scandal at the academy.

The investigations were launched after dozens of female cadets complained their reports of being sexually assaulted had been ignored or they had been punished for saying anything.

Allard says the information about the survey leaked to the media last week is just a draft summary.

More information from the survey of cadets and other information will be released later this year, possibly as late as December.
