Denver has reported its first death due to West Nile virus.
State health officials say a 64-year-old woman died Wednesday in a Denver hospital.
She is the 13th Colorado resident to die from the mosquito-borne disease.
Health officials say she was suffering from meningitis. Encephalitis and meningitis are two developments of West Nile.
There have been 973 human cases of West Nile reported in Colorado.
Thirty-two new cases were reported Wednesday.
