Denver police say gang activity may have been the motive behind a fatal shooting that left five wounded, including Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter over the weekend.
The 28-year-old man killed in the shooting had a history of gang activity with several arrests. Police say it looks like Porter was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Porter played for Colorado State University and was in Denver for the annual game between Colorado State University and the University of Colorado. The Steelers expect Porter to recover and will not put him on the injured reserve list.
