After serving 18 years in prison, an Avondale man, convicted of killing a Pueblo police officer, has been paroled.
34 year-old Charles Greenwell was convicetd for the shooting death of Dennis Yaklich in 1985.
Charles was 16 at the time when he and his brother, Edward, gunned down Yacklich outside his home.
He was released more than a week ago after serving 18 years of a 20-year sentence.
He and his brother tesitifed the officer's wife, Donna Yacklich, paid them 45 thousand dollars to kill her husband.
She was sentenced to 40 years in prison and was denied parole earlier this year.
Edward was sentenced to 30 years and is up for parole soon.
