Linda Kohn has 9 kids. Even so, for the past 3 months Kohn's neighbors have watched in wonder as she and her family put together 25 bunk-style baby cribs in their garage. But once they learned the cribs were for an orphanage in Haiti, Kohn says many who gawked, stopped to lend a hand.

"Weather it was sanding or painting, they wanted to be part of it," said Kohn.
The cribs will go to an orphanage in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, a place Kohn knows well. 3 years ago she went to Haiti to adopt her daughter Anika, but before the adoption went through, the orphanage closed down. Kohn says she knew what she had to do.

"We sold our house in California and used the proceeds to run the orphanage in Haiti and finish up adoptions to get children home."

The orphanage is part of For HIS Glory Adoption Ministry, and it continues to grow. Too many babies and not enough cribs. It's what Kohn found on her last trip to Haiti in July-- some cribs held 3 babies at a time, so back in the U.S., Kohn asked her church, Mountain Springs, for help. One member stepped up with a $7,000 donation.

"I'm so excited," said Kohn. "The babies will be right next to each other so they can see and touch each other, but they're not going to be sleeping with a foot in their chin."

The cribs are just one of so many ways Kohn says God has provided since she stepped out in faith 3 years ago, but to get them to Haiti, she says she'll need another miracle. Ameriject Corp. based in Miami has offered to ship the cribs to Haiti for free, but Kohn says she still needs to find a way to get the cribs to Miami by next week.
