A second University of Northern Colorado football player is facing charges today stemming from a weekend fight.
21-year-old Clinton Wright, a junior tight end from Evans, is accused of complicity in a third-degree assault.
His teammate, 21-year-old sophomore fullback Garrett Bliss, is already facing charges of third-degree assault. Authorities say Bliss was angry at victim Sean Belifiore, reportedly for sending a text message to his girlfriend.
Investigators say Wright telephoned the victim and told him to come outside his home, where Bliss attacked him.
For the UNC Bears, it's the third incident of violence this year. Last week team co-captain Jacob Carlson was cited for disorderly conduct after a fight at a bar. And last month, backup punter Mitch Cozad was accused of stabbing the starting punter.
