An overnight fire destroyed thousands of dollars of donations at the Pueblo Goodwill. And investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 10 p.m. Tuesday night. Several Goodwill donation trailers were heavily damaged and all of the contents were destroyed. They were parked behind the goodwill headquarters and were used for storing donated items.
Damage is estimate at about $39,000. Most of the donated items lost were clothing, house wares and toys. In fact, nearly all of the toys for the upcoming KKTV 11 News toy drive were lost.
If you’d like to make a donation, take it directly to the Goodwill at 1020 Constitution Road in Pueblo. Donating to another goodwill location may not benefit this particular outlet. For more information, call the Goodwill office at 719-543-4483.
And if you have any information about this fire, call Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP in Pueblo or 634-STOP in Colorado Springs. Your anonymous tip could earn you a cash reward.
