The fire broke out in the hills of Larimer County near the town of Masonville. It is being called the Buckhorn Creek Fire.

Winds gusting anywhere from 45 to 60 miles an hour are blowing the flames into the trees. As of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, 125 acres have burned and homes are being threatened.

Some residents in the area have been evacuated.

Authorities believe somebody in a silver SUV may have started the fire. They are looking for the vehicle
