A 24-year-old Aurora man is under arrest for allegedly using the Internet to lure a young girl to have sex.
Police say the 12-year-old started receiving sexually explicit text messages on her cell phone a week ago today from a person calling himself "Brandon."
The girl's mother later called Aurora police, and a detective from the Crimes Against Children Unit took over the cell phone in order to keep communicating with the sender. Authorities set up a sting three days later, and arrested Brandon Paul Johnson just after 6:30 Friday night.
Johnson is being held in the Arapahoe County Jail on 50-thousand-dollars' bond. He faces felony charges of Internet luring of a child, and criminal attempt to commit sexual assault on a child.
