Internet viruses and worms are causing lots of problems for computers lately, in homes and businesses.
The key is knowing how to prevent them from getting on your computer in the first place.
Adelphia in Colorado Springs is warning it's customers to take precautions to protect their computers from the M-S Blast Virus, also known as the W-32-Blaster.
A spokesperson with Adelphia says the company is working to correct the problems with their network, caused in part by the virus.
Many computer experts have also been busy, getting phone calls from people who have computers infected.
Joe Thompson from Tech For Less says the first step is to get an antivirus, like Trend Micro, Symantec, and McAfee are the most well known.
Thompson says the antivirus program should be updated every week.
He also suggests carefully scanning your Email, because many messages contain cleverly disguised with subject headings like "thank you" or "my details."
An average antivirus will cost you about $30.
