Racist Fliers Appear in Colorado Springs

Racist fliers have appeared in Colorado Springs, where city council members are considering a resolution condemning racism and discrimination.

The fliers bore the name of the National Alliance. That's the same group that recently claimed responsibility for distributing racist fliers in Eagle County.

The fliers found on vehicles outside Colorado Springs City Hall called President Bush "the mother of all race traitors," and claimed whites will be a minority in the United States within the next 50 years.

Authorities have said there is little they can do because the literature is free speech protected under the First Amendment.

The Colorado Springs City Council resolution is not yet final and will be discussed again on Monday.
