A National Guard medic, possibly facing AWOL charges for staying home with her children, could be getting some relief.

30 year-old Specialist Simone Holcomb didn't return to Iraq with her company, because she was following a state judge's order to stay in Colorado for a custody battle.

That battle involves 2 of the Holcomb's 7 children.

Senator Wayne Allard's office says her husband, Sergeant Vaughn Holcomb of the 3rd Armored Cavalry rRegiment, might be able to come home next month to stay with the children until the custody issue with his ex-wife is resolved.
