It finally stopped raining about 6 o'clock Sunday night in Colorado Springs, but it looks like the cold weather is here to stay at least for a few more days.
It was true taste of winter on Cheyenne Mountain Sunday as snow fell softly for a few hours…in Colorado Springs no snow just lots of clouds and rain.
And out west in Woodland Park it was much of the same.
"It was really overcast, it was rainy all day but no snow up here, " said one resident.
Sunday’s wet weather came as a surprise to many...Kristin Cheatum left home without her coat.
"It’s coming early but I'm ready...its Colorado, you never know what you are going to get, if you don't like it, why are you living here? " Cheatum said.
And while it might feel a little early ...this year's cold and snowy weather is actually arriving right on time. Last year on October 10th it snowed just a little bit in Colorado Springs...while Monument saw 18-inches.
