A Colroado Springs man convicted of bludgeoning his 64 year old roommate and burying him under a refrigerator could face 16 to 48 years in prison.
On Thursday, a jury found 42 year old Keith Victor Gosselin of guilty of second degree murder. Jurors rejected the defense argument that Gosselin acted in self-defense and in the heat of passion, and that he didn't know right from wrong.
Gosselin killed David George Stuart in September 2001 after accusing him of defecating on a toilet seat and being mean to his cat.
Prosecutor Ann Joyce says Gosselin's hiding of Stuart's body shows he knew what he was doing and knew it was wrong.
Gosselin is scheduled to be sentenced December 15th.
