Greyhound racing is about to hit the track once again in Colorado Springs. Starting Tuesday, the Post Time track on North Nevada will resume live dog racing.
For the past three years, the track only ran off-track betting through satellite television. But after a change in ownership, the dogs are ready to run once again.
The new owners say they're excited about the Colorado Springs market, and have been working hard over the last 6 months to get things ready. "We've had to prepare the biggest part, which is for the athletes, is the racing surface. We've painted the building and gone through the guts of the building to make sure we are fit to race," says Steven Rose.
The first dog race is Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. The track will hold races Mondays through Saturdays until November 1st.
