Police in Denver say a woman saved the life of a little girl who was dangling from a third-floor balcony.
They say 9-month-old girl's mother had left her with her 10- and 13-year-old brothers yesterday while she went to work. The boys left the apartment, and the girl crawled out through a door they had left open.
The girl was hanging from the balcony by one hand over a concrete sidewalk when neighbor Mary Bussey and her son spotted her. She waited under the child while her son ran upstairs. The girl fell into her arms while her son was at the top of one flight of stairs.
The baby wasn't hurt and has been placed into the custody of social services. It's not clear yet whether any charges will be filed.
