He is 28-year-old Daniel Bader, a staff sergeant with the Third
Armored Cavalry Regiment.
Thirty-year-old Tiffany Bader says her husband died for his
country doing what he loved.
Daniel Bader was born in York, Nebraska, and had a 14-month-old
daughter.
The second Fort Carson casualty identified was 22-year-old
Specialist Darius T. Jennings, of Cordova, South Carolina. Jennings
was assigned to the Second Squadron, Third Armored Cavalry
Regiment, at Fort Carson.
The first Fort Carson casualty identified was 33-year-old
Sergeant Ernest G. Bucklew, who was also assigned to the Third
Armored Cavalry Regiment.
The helicopter was downed Sunday near Fallujah, Iraq, as it
carried troops bound for two weeks' leave.
Fort Carson has sent 12-thousand troops to Iraq, its largest
deployment since World War Two.
