The ski season is gradually getting underway.
One lift and one run have opened at Arapahoe Basin. It's the second ski area in the state to open for the season. Loveland ski area opened Tuesday.
Most of the snow at A-Basin is man-made. The cold front that moved through Colorado overnight didn't bring enough moisture to the mountains to prompt snowfall.
This marks the earliest opening ever for A-Basin. The ski area didn't have snowmaking equipment in the past.
Copper Mountain is scheduled to open Friday.
