The Mexican consul general says a woman dragged to her death behind a vehicle was a mother of three from the Mexican state of Guerrero.
Forty-nine-year-old Luz Maria Franco-Fierros was identified through fingerprints.
She was from the city of Chilpancingo, the capitol of Guerrero.
Her body was found early Monday along a road north of Castle Rock, about 20 miles south of Denver. Investigators say Franco-Fierros had been dragged behind a vehicle for more than a mile, leaving a bloody trail. Preliminary autopsy results indicated the dragging caused her death.
Thirty-six-year-old Jose Luis Rubi-Nava is being held without bail on a charge of first-degree murder.
Authorities haven't said how he may be linked to the victim
