(Idaho Springs-AP) -- A fire erupted today near Interstate 70
north of the Hidden Valley exit -- only a few miles from both Idaho
Springs and Central City.
Firefighter Gene Days says one helicopter with a bucket was
dropping water on the 20-acre blaze -- and a small airplane was
dropping retardant.
Ground crews also were on the scene -- which was burning in pine
on the steep slopes of the mountains north of Interstate 70. He
says no structures were jeopardized.
