Anti-War Protests

By: Associated Press
Updated: Sun 8:13 PM, Jul 27, 2003

Hundreds of people went to missile sites in northeastern
Colorado and southwestern Nebraska yesterday to bring attention to
nuclear weapons. About 20 people also converged on a missile silo
in western Montana for a similar demonstration.

The protesters say they've been inspired by the three Roman
Catholic nuns convicted after entering a site in Weld County last
fall to symbolically disarm a missile.

A federal judge in Denverhas sentenced the nuns to two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half years in prison.
