Kobe Bryant Case

They've praised his handling of complicated legal questions in one of the highest profile cases to hit Colorado.

Denver defense attorney Scott Robinson says most Colorado county judges see preliminary hearings as a quick proceeding before passing a case on to higher court.

But Robinson says Eagle County Judge Frederick Gannett is trying to give both prosecutors and Bryant's attorneys a fair chance in the hearing.

The preliminary hearing in 25-year-old Bryant's sexual assault case is scheduled to resume Wednesday.

Bryant is free on $25,000 bond and has said the sex with the woman accusing him of assault was consensual.
