The Who's John Entwistle has died, apparently of a heart attack.
The 57-year-old bass player was found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room today.
Entwistle, a founding member of the legendary rock band, was known for standing stock-still on stage, providing a foil for the antics of his bandmates.
Band manager Robert Rosenberg says he's “saddened and shocked” by the news.
The Who are on tour this summer and were scheduled to perform in Las Vegas tomorrow.
Entwistle was nicknamed “Thunder Fingers” for his driving bass style, although he also played a number of brass instruments.
