What's believed to be the first tape from the new leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq is getting played in a familiar place.

Al-Jazeera TV ran part of the audiotape that it says is from Abu Hamza al-Muhajer. He took over as head of Iraq's most feared insurgent group after an American air strike killed the previous leader in June.

The Arab station played just a snippet of the tape. The station quotes the man believed to be al-Muhajer as saying he's confident of victory, and calling for unity.

In the segment that was aired, the speaker says it's time to "get together" because "our enemy has unified its ranks against us."
