A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
Retired marines and an air force ROTC group has now joined the search for an injured marine missing since Tuesday.
Officials say about 150 people were searching for 21 year old Lance Hearing Saturday morning. Hearing is from Boulder.
Hering struck his head after falling about 15 feet while free-climbing in Eldorado Canyon late Tuesday. He was hiking with his friend Steve Powers, who's also from Boulder. Powers went to get help but when he got back, Hering was gone.
Rescuers are using a GPS system to ensure the entire area is searched.
