President Bush says the U-S is fighting more than a military battle.

While comparing terrorists to Nazis, the president says the war against Islamic fundamentalism is "the decisive ideological struggle" of this century.

Opening a fresh series of speeches designed to rally support for the war, Bush said Islamic terrorists are "successors" to fascists, Nazis and Communists. And he says they must be fought without let-up.

Bush told the American Legion in Salt Lake City that although the terrorists are from different groups, they "form the outlines of a single movement."

Democrats say a new round of presidential speech making won't change what they describe as a failed policy.
