The city of Pueblo has agreed to pay 50-thousand dollars to a woman whose husband was killed in a no-knock police raid.
Terry Lynne Taylor filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city and officers involved in the 1998 raid on her house.
SWAT team member Mark Bravo said he fired the fatal shot in self-defense after Steven Taylor aimed a gun at him.
Terry Taylor said her husband was not armed, even though pictures taken immediately after the shooting depicted him holding a gun.
Police conducted the raid to uncover a suspected methamphetamine
lab. No lab was found.
The officers admitted no wrongdoing in the agreement.
Assistant City Attorney Tom Florczak says the city did not want to take its chances in a trial.
