Coast Guard searchers found the wreckage of a small plane Friday, that went missing after attempting to land yesterday in bad weather in Alaska. The twin-engine Cessna 421 crashed in a wooded area about two and a half miles northeast of the Sitka Airport -- killing all five aboard.

The victims are all from Colorado and were traveling to Anchorage for the Fourth of July. They were identified as Michael and Kathy Baker and Richard and Catherine Lohman of Colorado Springs. The fifth victim is identified as Richard Mohnssen of Golden.

The airplane had stopped in Prince Rupert, British Columbia and was near Sitka on Thursday when the pilot radioed that a cargo door had possibly come open. That's from Coast Guard spokesman Roger Wetherell.
