The small mining town of Victor may soon enter the cell-phone age.
T-Mobile is looking to add its antenna to an existing tower so it can begin offering cell phone service by the end of the year.
The Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company has donated a tower frame and land to make it more affordable to provide cell phone service for the town of about 450 people.
Victor Mayor Kathy Justice says many residents own cell phones but they have to drive a mile out of town to get reception which even then can be spotty. She says they just want to be able to use cell phones like folks in other cities do.
