Pueblo Parking Tickets

The city of Pueblo is trying to shame people into paying parking tickets.

It's started publishing the names of people with 10 or more unpaid tickets on its Web site and broadcasting them on the city cable television station.

So far, about 25 people have paid their fines after receiving a warning
letter last month. Some came forward after seeing their names on the list and one downtown business owner paid off more than $300 in fines this week after learning that a newspaper story was in the works.

Pueblo has 30,000 outstanding parking tickets. The fines add up to around $500,000.
