A teenager who moved from Pueblo to Washington State last October, is now being held on charges of allegedly murdering her newborn baby.

The body of a baby boy was found Monday at a dump site near Tacoma, Washington, by authorities using heavy equipment to comb through tons of trash. It's believed to be the teen's child, although DNA testing has yet to confirm that.

The 16-year-old girl had been taken into custody earlier, after a neighbor in the city of Port Angeles told police she spotted a dead baby in a garbage can.

The girl's father, 41-year-old Ronald Last, Jr., also was arrested on charges of helping to dispose of the body.

In charging papers, police say they believe that the teenager drowned the newborn in a toilet, shortly after giving birth at home.

The police investigating say they have contacted police in Pueblo, where the girl had lived with her mother, and have determined the baby's father is an adult, not a minor.

STERILIZE BOTH OF THESE IGNORANT, SELFISH, IRRESPONSIBLE CHILDREN...PARENTS, WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THEY WERE IN THE POSITION TO EVEN GET PREGNANT?? PRISON ISN'T THE PLACE FOR THESE TWO, AN EYE FOR AN EYE--THEY SHOULD PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE FOR THEIR CHOICES.

If you are able to kill you are no longer a child. I do wonder who's the father of the child. As far as the 16 year olds father he is just as guilty regardless of the situation. I hear they give special treatment to baby killers in prison. Where have the morals and values of today's society gone?

well.... well.... well..... babies having babies..... what a shame.... why didnt the mother have her 16 year old daughter at home...when she lived in pueblo??? she should still be playing with barbies....its awful to know that a newborn baby died cuz some little girl could not take care of responsibilities... that is sad.... charge her as an adult!!! i would never be able to go 9 months with a baby inside of me and then drown it.... look what the world is coming to..... its sad!!!!

Why someone feels they have to do this to a newborn child is heart wrenching! Safe haven laws are in place for this reason. Hopefully they'll nail this child and make her realize what she did.

Soo sooo soooo sad! If you dont want kids dont spread your legs! Or at least give the baby up for adoption. Killing a baby because you dont want it is NOT the answer!
