A Colorado Springs law firm says just tell the cab company, they're picking up the tab.
McDivitt Law Firm is continuing its tradition of offering free New Year's Eve cab rides, through Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs.
If you can’t drive or feel you don't have a safe way home, the free rides are offered in the Colorado Springs city limits from 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve through 4 a.m. on New Year's Day.
To request a free cab ride home, you can call Yellow Cab Company of Colorado Springs at (719) 777-7777 and tell them McDivitt Law Firm is paying for their safe ride home.
This is the second year McDivitt Law Firm has sponsored the Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program. Last New Year’s Eve, the program provided more than 400 safe rides home.

This is a good idea in theory, however I tried for an HOUR and A HALF to get a cab ride home on new years eve. We started calling at 1215 and we ended up having to walk to get a hotel. It was complete B.S. we would have been happy to pay out of our own pocket for a cab. I'm still mad about it. We had to pay close to a hundred for the hotel that we stayed in for FIVE hours. B.S.

What a great thing so these lawyers can get that last minute tax write-off in 2008.
