Boulder-based R-R-C Associates conducted a survey of 206 of the
nation's 488 resorts.
Skier-visits are projected to reach 57-point-six (m) million.
That's nearly six percent over the record set in 2001-2002.
Actual numbers as reported by resorts are expected to be
released later this month.
Ski areas in the Rocky Mountain region posted a gain of
two-point-17 percent. That's the fourth-best season ever.
The region covers Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and
Montana.
A skier-visit refers to a skier or snowboarder who frequents a
resort for all or part of a day.
