Great postings here– It never ceases to amaze me of the delusions of religious people– but thats their choice– I just wish they'd keep their morals and beliefs to themselves– And while we at it– can we get "In God We Trust" off our money for once and for all? Now THATS offensive to me! I welcome this billboard. Long live free speech!

I'd rather imagine a world without Atheists. I am offended by the billboards and I'm sorry my children have to see them when we drive to town - which is less and less everyday.

Martinez, civilization was not founded on religion. Even back in the polytheistic days, the ideas of God(s) and "religion" were created by people to explain the unexplained.

Steve, your take on Christianity being on the way out is so far off. I have no idea where you are getting that from. Your point on forcing kids to pray is a little crazy too. Kids should not be forced to pray. But, prayer is critical to a Christian. Being a Christian is a relationship with Jesus Christ. As with any relationship, if you do not communicate, it will eventually decline. Christianity has always been under attack, and it is clearly stated in the Bible to expect it. I don't understand why people are so afraid to come to faith in God. I would probably not be here today if not for my faith. I have been on both sides of the fence, with and without God. I would rather be on His side of the fence without a doubt. Instead of bashing your maker, truly seek Him and yes, question everything you learn and make sure it lines up with what the Bible says. I am not threatened by this sign, and anyone secure in their faith should not be either.

I'm amazed with all the misconceptions the athiest side is throwing at the Christian side. Where do you get your info that we preach hate and intolerance? Do not judge all religous people on the panderings of a few radicals and frauds. You should learn about us before you accuse us of spouting hate and fear, because you are doing that very thing right now. We Christians are tolerant people, we are forgiving and loving. We contribute more to charity and education than any other group in this country, including our own Government. If that were not the case, we wouldn't tolerate "Seasons greetings" being said in our malls. or the ramblings of people like you. Learn your history, and you will learn that only when a government declares a religion over another is when religous wars start. We don't force you to go to church, or pray with us, but don't expect us to not pray for you. And remember, civilization was founded on religion.

Glen, you're either a liar or an idiot. Christians put up signs stating their thoughts all the time and nobody tells them to take them down. What Christians aren't allowed to do is use GOVERNMENT MONEY (which belongs to everybody equally) to promote their own particular religion. If anybody doubts that Christianity is on the way out, consider that even Christians don't really believe in it anymore. Christians actually believe that they can't survive unless the government props them up. "We need to force kids to pray or their faith will slip away." Christians are like the Big Three car companies, going to Congress, hat in hand, looking for a handout. Well, if they can't compete, then they deserve to end up on history's scrap-pile.

All of the hatred here is very sad. It is sad that so many have a twisted view of what a Christian is. Unfortunately many are hypocrits, just as there are people of any belief or non belief that are hypocrits. Have you noticed the sign says "religion"? This could be islam, hindu, etc. Our true Christian God does give us freedom. It is our choice whether we worship Him or not. For those that do not want to that is your choice. Many have been hurt by religion and on behalf of everyone who has ever hurt anyone, I am sorry. That is man who hurt you, not God. God has changed my life for the good. Yes there are difficult times and that is part of life. I want to be authentic as possible and not be fake about my faith. I understand the challenges of life, the recession, etc. We are given a free will and that is why bad things happen because humans are not perfect and make bad decisions. Please stop the hatred on this post or take it down.

what this really comes down to is this: Jesus said not to judge or you will be judged! I believe, but do not shove my beliefs on others. Secondly, all the right wingers are afraid their perfect children might see this billboard and ask questions!! If their faith is so strong they would not be questioning that billboard.

WOW! Such passion on both sides. I have friends of all faiths, beliefs and "religions". I love them all. I happen to believe in God, but would never presume to tell anyone what they should or should not do where their spirituality is concerned. Yes, it is the hard cold truth that a difference in religious opinions cause war. And the sad thing is that who is really right? No one knows. It's a matter of belief, just as "get over it" states. So, why is it so hard to let people believe whatever they want instead of trying to change them to what you believe? Because its easier to love them...among other reasons. But if you keep your heart open, you would be surprised what you get from others. One of the best friends I have is an Atheist. I thank God for blessing me with friends like that. I also thank God they tolerate me!! LOL

Jesus was a salesman...keep waiting for the 2nd coming? Then spread more hate, dicatatorship, and intolerance until he arrives. Anyone interested in a 3rd coming in case the 2nd does not meet expectations?

hey...what ever happened to freedom of religion people???? It doesn't matter what you do or don't believe in but it is a given right by the constitution. THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Whatever you choose to believe in, that is your buisness, but don't talk about others because what they believe in doesn't fit into the "norm" Stop being hypocrits.
