An anti-war protester will spend six days in jail after being convicted of trespassing on Peterson Air Force Base.

In all, seven protesters were fined $310 each after a Municipal Court jury convicted them Friday of trespassing. Charles Cropley of Boulder refused to pay the fine, and was jaile.

The seven were among more than 35 peace activists arrested during two anti-war rallies February 15th in Colorado Springs. Police used tear gas and pepper spray to disperse protesters in Palmer Park after some demonstrators blocked traffic on Academy Boulevard. Some activists then went to the Air Force base, where officials painted a line on the pavement outside the base's north entrance. Those who crossed it were arrested.
