Power Restored, Roads Opened After Hit-And-Run On Kiowa
Colorado Springs Utilities says power has been restored after a semi-truck hit a utilities pole.

Colorado Springs Utilities says power has been restored after a semi-truck hit a utilities pole Thursday morning. At the height of the outage, about 150 households were affected in the area of 749 Kiowa Street.

Springs police say the semi driver hit the pole and kept going. The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, shutting down the intersection of Kiowa and Prospect.

happened right outside my window as well. It wasn't a semi, it was a Gazette truck, they already caught the guy. and yes, yay for CS utilities getting power back so fast, it was a mess out there.

This actually happened at 6:00 this morning. There was a HUGE flash and then a HUGE explosion. It happened right outside my bedroom window - totally illuminated the entire room. The electric crews got there right away - yay city workers! But man oh man was that a way to wake up!!
