Police hope someone will recognize 2 people caught on camera leaving a Colorado Springs night club with a sexual assault victim. According to police, the victim left the Eden Nite Club at 1:37 a.m. on May 6 with a women wearing a sombrero and a man in a black leather jacket. Investigators also obtained a still photo of the individuals taken by a club photographer.
"They're definitely people of interest," said Sgt. Jess Freeman of the Fountain Police Department. "They were the last people seen with this young lady before she reported the assault."
According to police, over the next 4 hours, the victim was sexually assaulted twice and beaten before waking up in Fountain somewhere on the side of a road.
"She went walking down the street knocking door to door," said Freeman. "Finally at around 6:30 a.m., someone answered and called 9-11 for help."
The victim says she doesn't know or remember the two people with her that night and barely remembers the assault. Because of that, police say they have reason to believe the victim may have been drugged.
