A one vehicle crash near Pueblo has claimed the life of an 11-year-old boy.
The Colorado State Patrol says Damon Dawson was a passenger in a Jeep that was westbound on state Highway 96 Sunday evening.
Investigators say 28-year-old Trinny Dawson of Ordway drove the vehicle off the right side of the road into a grass shoulder ditch. The driver overcorrected to the left, came back onto the roadway and rolled nearly three times.
The driver and two passengers were ejected. The vehicle rolled back and came to rest on its top with one person underneath.
Damon Dawson died at the scene.
Authorities say seat belts were not in use at the time of the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
