Snow and rain will continue to taper from north. Main roads should stay just wet overnight and through early Thursday. Secondary roads and any bridges and overpasses away from city warmth will be icy, so be careful. Locally dense fog will be an issue for the early morning too. Violent weather hit the Denver metro area Thursday morning with two tornadoes being spotted near the Denver International Airport.
One tornado touched down in a wheat field near the airport, but it did not cause any damage.
Heavy rain and hail pelted the metro area as the storm moved through. A huge funnel cloud was spotted near Watkins, just east of the airport.
This one did not form into a tornado and it dissipated back into the clouds.
