A Loveland man is behind bars, and a toddler is back with his mother, after an alleged carjacking attempt at a local credit union.
Police say 24-year-old Edward Orr walked up to a woman in the parking lot of Big Thompson Federal Credit Union as she walked to the passenger's side to get the boy from the back seat yesterday.
Orr allegedly pushed the woman out of the way and drove off in her Lincoln Town Car with the boy still inside.
A man who saw the incident had the woman get in his car, and the two followed her vehicle while calling police.
Officers arrested Orr after he turned into a cul-de-sac.
He's being held in the Larimer County Detention Center on several charges, including child abuse and kidnapping.
